Shipping and Delivery

Mangoes are among the hardest things to send through a courier network. This page sets out exactly how we handle it, what timelines you can realistically expect, and what we need from you at your end.

Where We Deliver

We deliver across most of India to PIN codes our courier partners can reach within the transit window a perishable consignment allows. Some remote PIN codes cannot be served reliably, and we would rather tell you that up front than send fruit that arrives spoiled.

Send us your PIN code on WhatsApp before ordering and we will confirm whether we can reach you and what the delivery charge is.

Delivery to the UAE

We do send mangoes to the UAE during the season. International consignments work differently from domestic ones: they need more lead time, the fruit is packed greener still, availability depends on the week and on air cargo space, and charges are quoted case by case. Message us on WhatsApp with your emirate and the dates you need, and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it well that week.

Transit Times by Region

These are approximate ranges from the day we dispatch, not from the day you order. They exclude the day of dispatch and can be longer during peak season, festival weeks or bad weather.

The further the destination, the greener the fruit we pack, so that it ripens at your home rather than in a courier van. This is deliberate. Our article on how mangoes travel across India explains the calculation in detail.

Dispatch Schedule

• Orders confirmed and paid earlier in the day are normally harvested and packed the same or next day. We tell you the cut-off that applies to your order when you place it.
• We dispatch on working days. We avoid dispatching on days where the consignment would sit in a hub over a Sunday or a public holiday.
• You receive a dispatch confirmation with the tracking reference on WhatsApp.
• During peak weeks in April and May, dispatch can run a day or two behind. We will tell you if it does.

Delivery Charges

• Delivery charges depend on your destination and the pack size. The exact amount is confirmed to you before you pay, and we do not add anything to it afterwards.
• Charges depend on destination, pack size and total weight.

How We Pack

Every consignment is packed in our own shed on the day the fruit is harvested:

• Fruit is de-sapped and shade-cured before packing, so latex does not burn the skin in transit
• Each mango is individually cushioned and bedded in gawat (dry grass) or shredded paper
• Boxes are corrugated, ventilated, and packed in a single or double layer — never overfilled
• Boxes are marked as perishable and fragile, and are never stacked deep in our own loading

When Your Box Arrives

This part matters as much as anything we do at our end. A sealed box of ripening mangoes left unopened for a day will cook itself.

1. Open the box immediately — do not leave it sealed, and do not leave it in a car or on a hot balcony.
2. Unpack every fruit and lay them out in a single layer at room temperature, away from direct sun.
3. Inspect and photograph anything that looks damaged, on the same day.
4. Separate any soft or bruised fruit from the rest so it does not accelerate the others.
5. Do not refrigerate unripe fruit — chilling an unripe mango stops it ripening permanently. See our storage guide.

Failed and Delayed Deliveries

• Please make sure someone is available at the delivery address. Couriers normally make more than one delivery attempt before returning a consignment.
• If a consignment is returned because nobody was available or the address was wrong, we cannot refund the fruit — a returned box of ripe mangoes is not resaleable. Delivery charges are also non-refundable in that case.
• Transit times are estimates provided by our courier partners, not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by courier operations, weather, strikes, road closures or other events outside our control — though we will always help you chase a delayed consignment.

Damage in Transit

Mangoes bruise. Over a long route, a small proportion of any consignment may be affected, and any seller who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. What matters is how it is handled. If fruit arrives damaged, photograph it on the day of arrival and message us — our refund and replacement policy sets out exactly what we do.

Gift and Multi-Address Orders

We can dispatch to a different address from the buyer's, and can send multiple boxes to multiple recipients on one order. For gift orders, tell us the occasion date as early as you can so we can time the ripening to land right. We can include a printed note if you send us the text.
