Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of kokanimewaa.in and any order you place with us. By using this site or placing an order, you accept them.

1. About These Terms

This website is operated by Kokani Mewaa, a family mango business at AT/Post Shiv, Taluka Khed, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra 415709, India ("Kokani Mewaa", "we", "us"). "You" means any person visiting this website or placing an order with us.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that you are.

3. Products and Seasonal Availability

We sell fresh Alphonso (Hapus) mangoes and related seasonal produce grown in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.

  • Mangoes are a seasonal agricultural product. The harvest runs roughly from March to early June and ends with the monsoon. Availability, grade and size vary through the season and between years, and are affected by weather beyond our control.
  • Stock can sell out at short notice, particularly during peak weeks. Listing a pack on this site is not a guarantee that it is in stock at the moment you enquire.
  • Fruit is a natural product. Size, weight, skin colour, blemishes and ripening speed vary from fruit to fruit. Photographs on this site are representative, not exact.
  • Fruit is dispatched at mature-green stage and ripens after delivery. This is intended and is explained in our ripening guide.

4. Orders

Orders are placed by messaging us on WhatsApp or through the contact details published on this site.

  1. You tell us the pack size, quantity, delivery address and PIN code.
  2. We confirm availability, the final price including delivery, and an expected dispatch window.
  3. Your order is accepted only when we confirm it in writing. Until then, no contract exists between us.
  4. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if the grade has sold out, if we cannot deliver reliably to your PIN code, or if the order appears fraudulent. If you have already paid, we refund in full.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are confirmed to you at the time of order. Seasonal prices move through the harvest and any price mentioned earlier in a conversation is indicative.
  • Delivery charges, where applicable, are told to you before you pay.
  • The payment methods we accept, and the exact amount payable, are confirmed to you on WhatsApp before any payment is made.
  • We reserve the right to correct an obvious pricing error before dispatch. If we do, you may cancel for a full refund.
  • Orders are normally packed only after payment is confirmed, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.

6. Delivery

Delivery terms, transit times and route limitations are set out in full on our Shipping and Delivery page, which forms part of these terms. In summary: transit times are estimates, not guarantees; we are not liable for delays caused by couriers, weather, strikes or other events outside our control; and you or someone at your address must be available to receive a perishable consignment.

7. Cancellation, Replacement and Refunds

Because mangoes are perishable, cancellation and refund rights are necessarily narrower than for non-perishable goods. Full details are on our Refund and Cancellation page, which also forms part of these terms.

8. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Give us an accurate, complete delivery address with a reachable phone number
  • Be available, or arrange for someone to be available, to accept the consignment
  • Open and unpack the box promptly on arrival, as described in our delivery guide — leaving a sealed box of ripening mangoes unopened will damage the fruit
  • Report any problem with a consignment on the day it arrives, with photographs
  • Not use this website for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to interfere with its operation or security

9. Intellectual Property

All text, photographs, videos, the Kokani Mewaa name and logo, and the design of this website are our property or used by us with permission, and are protected under Indian copyright and trade mark law. You may read, print and share our guide articles for personal, non-commercial use with attribution and a link back. You may not republish our content, in whole or in substantial part, on another website or in any commercial material without our written permission.

10. Content Accuracy and Third-Party Links

The articles in our mango guide are written from our own orchard experience and offered in good faith as general information. They are not professional horticultural, nutritional or medical advice. Our site also links to third-party websites; we do not control them and are not responsible for their content. See our Disclaimer for more.

11. Advertising

This website may display advertising served by third parties, including Google. We do not control which specific advertisements appear and their presence is not an endorsement by us of the advertiser or its products. How advertising cookies work, and how to opt out, is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example, the cost of a replacement gift, a missed occasion, or loss of profit.
  • Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including unseasonal rain, cyclone, hailstorm, crop failure, pest infestation, epidemic, transport strike, courier failure, civil disturbance or government restriction.

14. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of them or out of an order is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Khed, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, India. We ask that you contact us first — most problems are resolved in a single WhatsApp conversation.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact page.
