It reflects how we work in our own orchards and packing shed in the Konkan, and what we have learned from customers over many seasons. Articles describing harvesting, grading, flowering, pest pressure and season timing describe practice in the coastal Konkan belt of Maharashtra. Growing conditions differ substantially by soil, elevation, rainfall and variety. If you are farming commercially, please consult your local Krishi Vigyan Kendra, agricultural university extension service or an agronomist familiar with your region before applying anything you read here to your own orchard.
